Bariloche

Who loves Russian nested dolls (matryoshki!), gourmet chocolate, snow-capped mountains on lakes and fairytale architecture? I DO! They are some of my favourite things and the backbone of a town called Bariloche, our last stop in Argentina. Whilst we were there, we braved a windy cable car ride to the top of a mountain where we hiked with Elli from Austria and Steve from BC. We got to climb a few enormous fallen trees on the trail.

Basically, Bariloche is a yoddler's paradise. You look around and expect to see Billy goats selling Ricola throat drops. If you´ve been to Switzerland, you know this place. The only difference may be the prevalence of taggers who vandalize every edifice in town. Even the town´s gothic chuch is spray painted. Respect?

Next stop is Valdivia, Chile.
